Back on topic :) Schistura loaches

My lfs have Schistura Balteata in stock. Has anyone ever heard of them?

They are definitely a schistura shape, these are quite young, about the length of my little finger. Brownish / light grey background colour, with two dark brown stripes going around the body. One in front of and one behind the dorsal fin. Their eyes are large compared to body; maybe a sign that these are creatures reaching 40cm length? They are being kept at usual tropical temperatures.

They are cute; they are beautiful; they are active; they are calling out to me (and you too, Martin?).

They are not in the Baensch Photo Atlas (yes, it finally arrived), nor in the Fishes of India, nor in either of my TFH tomes.

Any information would be appreciated.

Anne
