Disappointed.

I went down to Petsmart today to pick up some dry goods. Sheesh! I was so very disappointed when I looked in their tanks. There were so many dead fish that it turned my stomach: Clown Loaches, Neons, various Barbs, even a couple of Newts, etc., etc., all dead. It almost reminded me of a puppy mill.

I also continue to visit some non-chain LFSs in Dallas...and be disappointed. Same thing: lots of dead or diseased fish.

I guess, to a degree, I was spoiled when I lived near Seattle. There were some good shops up there, and not everything was diseased or dying. Here, if you don't Q-tank new purchases, you are *really* asking for trouble!

Are there similar experiences out there?

Sigh.
