Hi Joe - I know what you mean. When I went to buy fish (the clowns that are still sick) I first went to Petco. As I looked in all the tanks, I was amazed that so many were dead. I went to another store, actually just purchased by Petco, but where the fish were at least not dead. It was there that I got my fish, but they were diseased; just couldn't see it yet! What was also sad was that they were just in empty tanks with nothing but fish and some sort of food (I guess) at the bottom. Not very home-like. I am trying to find somewhere that is good, and having a hard time. I had someone tell me yesterday (at PetSmart) that the clowns here (Northern Calif/Sacramento Valley) just weren't as healthy as the ones in Southern Cal?? Does that make sense? Anyway, he said that 1/2 the clowns he sells come back dead. I asked if he thought that the others made it, or just that no one brought them back? Not a happy sight.
