I noticed some odd behavior last night with the homaloptera zollengeri in my river tank. I have four, one is much larger than the others and at the top of the pecking order. Last night, however, two of the smaller ones were pursueing the larger one, rubbing their snouts against the ventral area. Finally, the larger one dove into the gravel(something I've never seen them do) and created a small depression. No egg laying took place though. The smaller ones then began pursueing the larger one again until I turned the lights out about an hour later. They then settled down for the night. This morning they acted normal when I fed them. I had to leave for work, so I don't know what happened a
