bettas.....????

just got 3 female bettas for my male (2 days ago) and last night I had the tank near enough bare as one dissapeared. no pictus with full tummy, no floating fish, no grouped fish filling faces and no skelaton???????

Anyway the other 2 have survived the stress but Iam still puzzled. The male betta has selected one of the two and is courting her as I type. Her colouration has changed and shes darker with red flushed fins. (this is good isnt it???)

Anyway my main question is when (if) will they start breeding? can the betta build a nest in a community tank and where the powerheads flow the water? or does the water have to be still?

Any info would be gladly received! THank you Jermand -x-
