Thanks, I'll try that with the fake ones. I do water changes every week, but there are quite a few fish in the tank so I wouldn't doubt if my nitrAte is a little high. I should probably reduce the bioload, but I don't have room in any other tank to move them and I couldn't possibly get rid of any of my babies. Looks like I'll have to consider another tank, drats!! Maybe I'll upgrade my tank at work, otherwise my husband would kill me if I brought another one home. Us fishy fanatics have to be sneaky sometimes.
