Are yoyo's normally aggressive?

I bought this yoyo such a long time ago and when I bought it, it was about a inch long. Now he's grown about 2 more inches making him a full 3" and he's also grown in temper. He's one of the most aggressive fish in the tank right underneath the skunks. He's gone after every fish in the tank including the Arowana that is about 6x its size. As far as I know the Arowana and frontosa's arent afraid of him and will beat him into his cave if he tries anything. But my poor clowns and my lonely little striata are getting somewhat annoyed. Is it common for yoyo's to be this dam aggressive?
