You should give it a try one more time and this time parboil it so it will sink. Maybe your modestas are too lazy to work for their food. If it's at their level, then they may be more apt to try it and discover that they just might like it. :-)

As far as spinach goes, my guys love it too. They ate so much that their stomachs turned lightly green.
