Help with clown loaches

Hi everyone,

I bought a couple of clown loaches about three weeks ago (after wanting them for ages), and was very upset when one of them mysteriously died a week later. The other one seemed ok, although not very active (to be expected I thought), and all my other fish (platys) were fine, so I put the death down to fate. Last week I bought another 2 clowns as I was worried that the remaining loach was lonely, and to my horror, one of the new ones died a few days later. The two remaining loaches are hanging out in the log together, and don't ever seem to come out. Temperature is 26-27 celsius, ammonia and nitrites are zero, pH is neutral. Neither of the loaches that died had any apparent disease or injury. What am I doing wrong? I would be most grateful for any suggestions (as would my loaches)
