"peppered botia loach??"

I live in a smaller town and don't have easy access to pet stores with knowledgeable store personnel. Most don't know the names of the fish they're selling. Therefore, I have really enjoyed this forum and have learned a lot already.
I purchased a loach that the store salesperson called a "peppered botia loach" but can't find any information on a loach with that name. My loach is about two inches long, dark brownish-gray larger stripes alternating with light gray stripes. His body shape resembles a weather loach, although he is much small than my weather loach and is extremely active.
Can anyone identify this loach for me? Thank you in advance.
