Tiny wormlike creatures - something bad??

I took a plant from my aquarium and placed it in a jar of water with another plant I was rooting. I looked in the jar this morning and there are many - maybe 200 - wormlike creatures swimming in the water. Do I have some wierd kind of parasite in my aquarium? In my aquarium are 4 kuhli's. one weather loach, two sandy korean loaches (at least that's whatI think they are), two cory's, and three clowns, all of whom appear healthy and happy. They have a larger end which looks like a head and then a thin body, and are extremely small - ranging from minute in size to maybe 1/5" in length. Some are almost too small to see. What could they be? I appreciate your help!
