Dumb Dojo

Yesterday, I knocked one of those little rubber bands that they use to tie off the plastic fish bags into the tank. Since today was gravel cleaning day anyway, I just left it in there for the time being. Well, one of my dojos managed somehow to get his snout in the rubber band and roll it up over his head, it was restricting his gill movements. The poor thing started to panic, swimming frantically all over the place. I've never had to net one of these guys, man are they fast! I never did catch him, but after a few near misses, he managed to roll the rubber band off of his gills and over the rest of his body. The moral of the story? Be careful with the rubber bands if you have loaches.
