HI EVERYONE Anthony, make sure you have a tight fitting lid as weather loaches can escape from the tank! Read the info on loaches on line and you'll find lots of tales of owners who found their beloved loach on the floor! They are very docile - I can pick mine up in my hands. But they are also quite strong - they could push up a plastic condensation tray for instance. I'm not sure about this skin-shedding thing - I have seen their droppings and the sort of sac it comes out in looks a bit like
