weather loach racing

i have noticed my weather loaches doing something strange recently (well not strange by laoch behaviour but different anyway).

The smallest of the three has been 'shadowing' the biggest ofthe three. it sits right beside the other, and swims wherever the other swims, never moving from its side whereever it goes. it even follows it into a small pipe i have in the tank, even though its a squeeze.

i just wandered if anyone else had seen this behaviour, and if its some sort of loach coarting ritual.
