Clowns and food?

I have two clowns in my tank with two angels. Its seems as though the angels won't let anything (food) slip by them. I even tried feeding my clowns a sinking tablet when all the lights were off. Later on I went to see if they were eating it, guess who was. If you guessed my angels you were right. They (loaches) seem to be OK, but I have yet to see them eat food. They dig through the gravel but I never see them eat food, flakes or anything. I guess I'm a little worried even though they seem to be OK. I just want to make sure their getting enough nutrition. Does anyone have any suggestions? I'm new to the hobby.
