A loach by any other name...

It never ceases to amaze me at the number of different trade names for a given loach species. Today, I saw a very beautiful specimen of botia pulchra.I was very beautifully marked with deep black and vivid gold bands. Of course I had to buy it even though I was a four and a half hour drive from home. It was being sold as "Royal Clown Loach".They also had a really nice botia robusta being sold as the same thing.I already have two other pulchras. One was sold as "Chinese 12 banded loach" and the other as "black and gold loach". Go figure...By the way, the loach made the long trip, unscathed.
