New coolwater "dither fish"

I recently set up an old ten gallon to house some of my baby homaloptera when it gets well cycled. I was looking for a few small dither fish other than white clouds. I ran accross a native N. American fish that fits the bill. Its actual common name is red shiner{Notropis(or Cyprenella) lutrensis}. But its sold under more exotic names such as "Asian fire barb", "Rainbow Dace Danio" or just "Rainbow dace". I guess the "shiner" name has a certain stigma here in the US. Anyway, even though the females are a plain bluish silver, the males are very attractive with steel blue sides with reddish orange fins
