Hmmm, I understand your sentiment, I need all my fingers, too :-) Maybe you can find a way to clamp the victim, I mean pot, in place? Then you can keep your fingers well away from the business end of the saw because you won't be holding the pot with them!

Know anyone handy in your neighborhood that you can pay with a six-pack? (To be drunk *after* sawing the pots...)
