I've noticed that fish have strongly different reactions to the TetraMin tablets you mention. Some fish totally ignore the existence of the tablets, while other fish fight for exclusive possession of the things. And, it's not always the fish you'd expect to see behaving one way or the other - my cories (when I had some) ignored the tabs, my *discus* of all things, would fight so badly over them I had to stop feeding the tabs - normally my diskies have a vigorous appetite but are generally well-behaved except when they are feeling "frisky."
