Will Clown Loaches uproot plants?

Hi,

I just got 4 clown loaches and find them amusing darting about in my planted tank.

Now I am wondering if these fish will uproot the plants during their foraging in the gravel for food?

Another question is how fast do they grow in captivity? Mine are about 3" now. I hear the maximum they grow in the wild can be upt to 1 foot long!

What is their life span?

Thanks for any advice.

koah
