Fisheating loaches?

hey there...

I own 2, 1 inch long clown loaches and i've had them for awhile now. They get fed once everyday and i've never had any problems with them and my other fish. Recently, the one loach has been chasing the neon tetras alot (i have 8 of them)and i thought nothing of it. YEsterday, when i woke up and went over to the tank, 3 neons were missing and no where to be found. Someone ate them! Is it possible that the loache(s) ate them? I doubt any of my other fish ate them as they are not aggresive/energetic as the loaches... Any ideas or comments?
