On the subject of Rainbowfish...

Does anybody know why are the varities of Rainbowfish, aside from the "common" rainbowfish, are usually rather expensive? Because they are prolific and extremely easy to breed, should not juveniles be offered at a low price?

When i had some Bosemani Rainbows, I had babies grow to adulthood in the community tank without any special attention or foods whatsoever.
