dojo with arrowhead tail

Hi I was at my LFS today and they had a large weather loach for sale. The woman there said it was NOT a weatherloach but it looks just like my dojos except- this one has a pointed tail fin instead of rounded and no spot on the tail fin. Is this an indication of sex or a different loach? I bought him/her and he is happy with the hillstream and dojos already there. He likes to hide in the black moor goldfishes fins. I named him Chicken as this is the first skiddish dojo I have seen.Any comments or insight?
