The clown loaches who think they're tiger barbs

I have five clown loaches who when they were bought for my five ft tank were puchased with eight tiger barbs (4 of these were the moss green variety). Since that day the barbs and the loaches often swim together as a group. Occasionally the loaches seem to remember that they are on fact loaches and bottom feeders but for the most part they swim quite happily with the barbs. Also conversely if a barb finds itself alone they often find a loach in that moment of panic and swim happily with it.I think it might have something to do with the similar colouring and patterns but the clown loaches behave the same with the moss greens. Has anyone else noticed such behavior in their tank.Just curious.
