I've had pretty much the same problem with my angels. The loaches leave them alone, but the angels themselves usually eat the eggs. Once they hatched, but only lived a couple of days.

The clowns probably snacked on the krib fry because they are lower in the tank. Whereas, angels usually lay their eggs on a vertical surface nearer the top of the tank.

Now if you want to see a real smorgasboard, try introducing some large snails into your loach tank. I had two gaint peruvians in my 125. The loaches didn't bother the snails, but had a feast when they laid eggs.
