Hi There,
Have a freshwater tank with (1) semi-large angle fish, (2) silver dollars, (2) Julieye catfish, (2) clown loaches. Have had all fish for about 8 years. Over the past month or so, one loach has gotten abnormally large, and from appearance, looks like his/her sides (directly behind the side fins) are puffed out and elongated with (what looks like) horizontal air-filled bags underneath the skin. Both sides look the same. She/he hangs out, generally, inside a rock-built house while the other is all over the place. She/he will come out and swim around when there is no activity in the room. All other fish seem just fine. Tank is pretty healthly. Haven't had ick in 7 years. Any ideas as to what is going on here? I look forward to your reply.
