weather loach query

Can any-one out there help i have two weather loaches around 6 inches long. Recently one of them has developed a strange behavioural pattern. It has taken to hiding under a large rock in the tank and burrowing into the gravel and it has also changed colour, to a rather strange shade of pink. i was wondering whether or not she? could possibly be pregnant. Or if not if anybody knew the reasons for this sudden change. if anyone can help then I would be really grateful. thanks
