We are very glad you informed us of something we didn't realize. I really don't think i could have lived with myself if i released the eel and had read about a massive fish kill in that lake. I found BB's email to be very informative and it is something everyone should consider as an aquarist housing native and wild species of fish. it's just too bad that we had to find out the truth about our eel when it was too late. The fact is is my eel is being housed with my loach population and im afraid he might find them tasty :( So we will call the local aquarium tomorrow (my fiancee has informed me that they do have liturature on them but don't have a specimen yet) and see if they have a space for them.
