Hi Offy,

The "Starter Kit", with the filter and heater? I purchased the 20 version several months ago; be advised that the filter stinks, even though the 20 came with a filter supposedly designed for a 30 (mine finally died, and when I replaced it with a Penguin all my water problems went away literally overnight). My biggest complaint with their filters is that they expect the bacteria to grow on the filter frame, which is inserted into new filter bags. This never worked right! The heater with the 20 has performed flawlessly, though it's not submersible.

Instead, I purchased the Penguin 330 on Ebay for $25 and a used 150-watt heater for $6.50, and have a better setup for around $50 less. The tank, by itself, is only $99 and comes with the lights. They're a lot less effective than in my 20, as they put two 20-gallon tank hoods together on the 55, but oh well. Most of my plants will be plastic anyway for now. I love the Penguin filters, and this is the second Top Fin tank I've purchased now without any complaints.

Thanks for the congrats - I'm REALLY excited!

Tibor.
