Do Khulis Click?

When I drop any food into my aquarium, the khulis go nuts. They drag the pellets into their small cave and "ball up". Anyway, most of the time, I hear clicking. The other loached aren't fighting, and it takes them a while to go wild over the food. It's hard to tell where the click is coming from since sound travels faster in water. When I first got my striata, they were so thin that I could see small lumps behind their gill covers(operculums). They have since disappered after some proper feeding. Could these be the "click organs" Are the clicks characteristic of only Botia species or can khulis click too.
