Loach getting conditioned

Hello everyone. Haven't seen me in a while have you? Well, this is just an update. My weather loach is being conditioned for his next shot at breeding (his last mate...died.) I am feeding him worms and stuff like that, and hopefully his new mate shall be selected in a couple of weeks. Anyone know how to tell a female from a male? I will be looking for long pectoral fins, as I have read these are characteristic of males. Any suggestions or advice will be appreciated. And this time I'll keep you posted lol.
