Clown loach with white spot - advice needed

I have 2 x 4" clown loaches with white spot (introduced by new catfish who since died).

This was at Christmas - one of the clown loaches was covered in spots but was still eating (except for 1 day), playing etc. The other looked sick although didn't have any spots.

I treated tank with half strength medicine.

Spotty clown loach has recovered - spots nearly all gone, his appetite back.

Sickly clown loach without spots has been hiding for 3 days now - hasn't been out to eat which is SO unusual. I know he's alive as he wags tail every now & again (that's all I can see in his wood hidey hole).
