I have just rescued 7 very sick clown loaches (around 4 to 5 inches)from the "disposal" tanks of a pet store. They may have just been imported and are extremely thin. They also have ick (diagnosed from a microscope smear) and very little of their tails left (looks like some sort of fin rot). Two of the fish are in real distress, but the others appear alert despite not feeding. I have them in an 86 degree F dark heavily aerated fish tank with 1/2 dose quick cure (malachite green/formaldehyde), 2/3 tablespoon salt for every 5 gallons. For those of you with experience treating loaches, is there anything more I should be trying to combat the lack of appetite, fungus, or ich? Has anyone ever seen fish this sick survive? Any a
