Airstone noise...

This may seem like a silly question, but I just replaced all the airstones in my tanks. When I replaced one on the 10gal miscellaneous/quarentene tank, I noticed that the "humming" noise that goes along with airstones is substatntially louder. The airstone is a Tetratec and is supposed to have low back pressure.I already use silicon tubing which tends to transmit less vibration, but the noise is still too loud in my opinion. Since I am a light sleeper and the tank is in my bedroom, its a bit annoying. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to quite things down?
