I'M BAA-AACK!!! Changing clicking tones

Hi Guys,

I'm back after a long absence - bereavement, promotion, two "ambitious" project deadlines, christmas and a property sale have all occupied my time more than I would have liked them too.

A lot of new names have joined, a few old ones have disappeared, some old old names have resurfaced - good to be back!

My question: has anyone noticed a change in the tone of clicks of clown loaches - my 7 have all achieved 3"+, and their clicks seem to have deepened - dropped in frequency, and are not as clear as they used to be (used to be a definite click, now more of a dull thud). It wasn't the darios that were clicking, as I was watching the clowns feed at the time, and I'm not aware of kuhlis clicking from the tank below. Any ideas? Maybe their voices have broken, but I didn't think clowns hit puberty until at least 8"+ :-)

cheers,
Steve
