After a year of searching, I finally found Homaloptera orthogonatia (the saddle back loach). I was in another town today and stopped by a pet supply place I hadn't been to in ages. They had always had great supply selection and price but horrendous fish section. Since I had last visited they had redone the fish room. THey had lots of fish at good prices(darios for $2.99!) While looking through the tanks I saw a label "Marbled Lizard fish" In the tank were two 2" orthos and a green hillstream (homaloptera sp. in the species index). I ended up taking all three. They are every bit as beautiful as I thought they were.
