Internal parasites - I owe this board a lot!

A big thanks to this board & Loaches on Line for info. on how to treat camallanus (or is it callamanus) worm infestations! My paradise fish has those yucky red worms hanging out the anus, and I wonder if he got them from my loaches. Unfortunately, living in the heart of a city of a million & a half there are very, very few sheep here. Luckily for me, my dog sees this great vet who is going to order some Lavamisole Hydrochloride in for me at his cost.

One question, I started Hex-a-met treatment last night, and I didn't know if I should continue the treatment until the other drug came in. Any ideas? When the LH comes in, apart from a big water change, should I also run carbon in my filter for a day to make sure all the ot
