Yesterday evening my cousin (AlexP) and I went to the big lfs because there was nothing much ahappening around here.

We spied a contaminant in the zipper loach tank. The manager calls it a 'ring' loach. It's super small. Maybe 1 1/4 inch long, thin, with black and white 'squares' and a pinkishy belly. It's not a kuhli because it's nose is too pointy and the dorsal fin is ahead of where it is on Kuhlis. The body is too short in relation to width. It sort of looks Schistura- like.

Anyone seen contaminants like this? The manager says they get them in occasionally. I'm assuming it doesn't grow very large because it's not a fish that's ordinarily in the ornamental fish trade.
