Tiny loaches

I went into my lfs to find they had a tank full of tiny loaches.... I couldn't resist, I came out with 2. They are only about 2 cm long, has anyone had any experience with loaches this tiny - they look as though they could be blown away with a gust of water!! I have them in quarantine at the moment, and they both seem to be eating well. Has anyone kept tiny loaches with larger ones (2 inches+)? They can stay in the quarantine tank until they've grown if it's likely to cause problems.
The woman in the shop annoyed me, she said they were pretty delicate because they are so small, then proceeded to very roughly move the rocks in the tank - I'm surprised no one was squashed!
