Moving advice needed!

Hi! I've got 4 clown loaches (the head is 3", then 2 2", and 1 1") in a 20 tall and I'm moving!! I've been reading around about how to pack them and such, but I'm a little worried about leaving them in a bag for too long, particularly by themselves since they like each other's company so much. So far I've formulated the following "plan" and could really use advice..I don't want the entire experience to be a fatal one.

1 - loaches in three layers of plastic bagging (one loach per bag, one bag per bucket, 1 gal per bag w/plenty of air above it)
2 - drain and save tank water (except last 2 inches)
3 - move tank, stand, and the gang to new location (about 10 minutes away).
4 - setup tank, putting old water back in...and let run for HOURS? Will my guys be ok in the bags for this long?
