Suicide Blue Botias

I have three Blue Botias in a 96 litre tank (21 gall), and one of them is being chased by the other, and he keeps trying to jump the tank. He has escape out of the tank through one of the lead holes once (blocked the hole up with electrical tape, but has also taken to trying to jump into the filter section. Is this just sorting out the pecking order or is it a natural tendancy for botias to tey to commit suicide?
