Horsefaced / Khuli disease??

Yesterday morning I came down for work and found one of my horsefaced loaches dead on its side on the bottom of the tank. I did a part water change just in case and treated the tank with melafix and went to work. When I came home there was another one in pretty much the same place dead and the big male looking dead at the back of the tank but when I moved him I discovered he wasn't quite gone yet so I moved him to the hospital tank where he proceeded to perk up but die anyway.

I searched for the remaining horsefaced loach in the gravel - eager to get it out of the tank in case it was something about the tank (everything seems the same as they have always lived happily in)but no sign.
