Sick Weather Loach

Howdy everyone.

I have just recently re-discovered my LOVE for aquariums. I still have a great love for Loaches, as well as Neon, and Cardinal Tetras, and also glass and cory catfish. At any rate, I have 2 tanks, one 10 Gallon, and one 25 gallon High, (24" long). Both are relativly new tanks, and both are planted.

About a 9 days ago I purchased a rather sizable weather loach, about 4". Over the past several days he has become ill. It started with a small white ( slat grain looking) spot on his dorsal fin wich i initially took as being ick. However, over the past several days I see that I was mistaken. His whole dorsal fin has basically rotted away, and now the whitish spot is starting down his back. I initially treated the tank with rid ick +, but have since stopped. I have searched and searched for what I can do to no avail to this point, so i decided to give this a try. NONE of the other fish in the tank seem to have been affected by this illness whatsoever. The neons and cardinals are fine, as are the cory cats and the 2 Royal Clown Loaches. I did lose 1 neon to neon disease about 14 days ago, but it was an isolated case, as all the others are in perfect health. What can i do to help my poor cute gold weather loach? Is he doomed?

If anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated by me , and my cute little loach freind! Thanks so much!!
