I have clown loaches for some time.

Recently visited a new fish retailer here in Singapore. Saw 2 fish which have the general characterisitcs of loaches but I dont think Ive seen them before

Colouration is similar to clowns with gold/yellow body and red/orange finnage except these had numerous thin blackish stripes. I roughly counted about nine such stripes.

The fish were in a compartment at the back of a cichlid tank and I couldnt really see but ddint notice any barbels to express a count.

Was told by the owner that he got them from Hong Kong and that the stripes reduced with age and that an adult would have bout 9 stripes and reach about a foot in length.

He called them good luck fish. Guess that was to tempt potential buyers. I want to do some reading up on them if I could identitfy
