We're Tannin

We got back from our trip around the Lake Huron area on saturday to discover the week-old set-up 6-footer looking like murky Coke!

The Cork really did a tannin leaching number on it. Cleaned all the Filters and replaced Carbon, then did a 60% water-change.

Man! it took ages pumping it out, then re-filling via a Python off the tap. When tanks get to this size it gives water-changes a different perspective :)

The vertically placed "tree-trunk" had expanded as it took on water and pushed the perspex cover and light unit upward, so I cut that down a bit.
