can yo-yo's be silver and black

I bought 5 labeled as yo-yo's, 2 are brightly contrasted and very defined patterned silver w/black, y's and dots. The other 3 are silver w/grey undefined pattern. The greys are a little bigger and seem to stick together. Everything I read about yo-yo's says they are yellow with grey.
They are very fun and don't seem to be afraid. Although they have many hiding places and dart in and out all day. The tank is heavily planted and they don't mind the light on, they are actually more active with it on.

I would appreciate any clues,

leigh
