Just thought I'd share something about my clowns and their feeding habits.. When i feed sinking tablet type food, my clowns, modesta and other loaches generally eat the food where it lies. But the modesta seem to be a little cleverer than the average loach and know that if they're not comfortable eating the food at the front of the tank, they can pick it up and carry it out the back, sorta like a dog with a bone :) My biggest clown never realised this was possible until she saw the modestas doing it, and now she does it often. The other 4 clowns haven't figured it out yet.
I take this as evidence that my clowns can learn new behaviours. They're not governed by instinct. not absolut
