Zipper loach info. needed

Well, I made the mistake of going to the LFS, and they had zipper loaches. Just after I had talked myself out of getting one, my wife came by and commented on how cute they were...Now, I have a zipper loach named Mr. Flibble lurking in my tank. He needs some serious fattening up to look like the fish on the index, but he seems happy hanging out with my Kuhli loaches.

I searched the archives for zipper loach info., found a bit saying they get to 4" or so, but I saw nothing saying where they were from and what their native biotope is. Does anyone know? I hate asking questions like this after bringing home a fish, but the way he looked at my wife and I with those big eyes was just too much.

I'm familiar with Kuhlis and botias, but I know nothing about the zipper loach family (
