anybody else use salt w/loaches?

Sorry to intrude if I am not welcome back here, as apparently I caused problems here in the past with my self righteous rude ways.I just was wondering if I could find out if anyone had used salt with loaches.I had used this with a horsefaced loach years ago and hadn't had occasion to try it w/ other species of loaches that may come from a more limited range that consists of only soft acid water habitats.I successfully used table salt to combat Ich.I added 2 3/4 tspn.s per gallon divided/added over 3 days. When I left it in the tank at 80 degrees for about two weeks I don't think the salt caused any great problems for the loach.Unless I hear from other loachkeepers who report similar successes,I hesitate to recommend this treatment.I worry that some other species of loaches might have trouble tolerating the salt.I know the salt is close to foolproof when added early enough
