sick clown??

I have two clown loaches. I am afraid that one is ill. I don't know for sure, I love them, they are the neatest fish ever, but one is staying on the right side of the tank and hovering....literally hovering about 2-3 inches over the substrate. It looks strange and it does it most of the day, the other loach goes over to it and nips at it and rubs against it to try and get it moving.....with no success. If anyone can help, I would be gratful.

One thing to add. My dwarf gourami had ich, I didn't see it on anyone else and I have treated him with success. I don't see any ich on any other fish in the tank.

Can I use salt if I have live plants? I haven't dared to add salt, but have added some melafix...I really don't want to lose these loaches. I have had them for a couple of months and thought that I was in the
